barbara.ruano is a Cuban-born Industrial & Visual Artist who grew up in Huntington Beach, California, the place she refers to as home. She is attracted to tools, metal, concrete, and the textures and colors of urban cities and nature. She creates unique industrial art with a vision that enhances and changes everyday places and things while turning them into inspirational art forms. Barbara shapes our normal perception of items we see often...forcing us to see them a bit differently.
Her art has been shown in galleries and a variety of art shows, and her commissioned pieces are displayed in businesses and homes throughout the US. When asked what inspires her most, her answer comes from the heart: 'My vision comes from my core. The materials themselves move me, and my feelings dictate my creativity. This makes me see our world in a different light and express myself through materials and images so commonly overlooked in our daily lives, but so present everywhere we go. I tend to see beauty in everything and everyone that surrounds me, and there's no better feeling than to share that with others.'
Barbara's works go untitled. She prefers creating open dialogue among her viewers as each person’s imagination provides their own interpretation of her very unique and interesting pieces.

Barbara also enjoys photography. All of her photographs are quick shots taken with her iPhone throughout her daily travels. Some are digitally enhanced for color and texture, creating the dramatic and sometimes surreal images and distinctive moods she envisions with each shot. Additional photos added frequently.
